We’re looking for a talented Programmes & Grants Coordinator to join our close-knit team in this dual focused role! Unique opportunity in a creative community sector!
At Dance & Arts Therapy NZ (DTNZ) we provide group and individual programmes across the Auckland & Canterbury regions, supporting and empowering vulnerable communities. We use the powerful modalities of Arts and Dance to bring connection, nurturing and growth to people with disabilities, children with autism, and children in at-risk/ low-income areas. We have a dynamic, creative and fun team of around 30 part-time therapists, assistant therapists, and volunteers.
About you:
You will have the chance to contribute your skills, drive, ability to engage others and enthusiasm while progressing DTNZ’s commitment to continually improve its service delivery to the communities we serve!
You will be pragmatic, super organised with a solid background in Administration and Programmes/Projects, and persuasive writing skills to fulfill this core role. This is a position with a lot of variety; from communicating with potential clients, liaising with the therapy team, interviewing new volunteers, funding applications, coordinating venue bookings at several locations, to producing regular e-newsletters.
Key capabilities and experience we are looking for:
● Proven programme coordination and/or project management experience
● Demonstrated organisational, planning and time management skills
● Computer literate and confident with technology
● Excellent verbal and written skills
● Great interpersonal skills
● Solution-focused and ability to plan ahead
At DTNZ we work together to achieve amazing results for the community. Last year we had over 4,000 attendances to our therapeutic programmes.
