Are you passionate about your career in creative industries but want to advance your skills or professional prospects? Further your studies with Unitec’s Postgraduate and Master of Creative Practice programmes designed for creative professionals.
From semester 1 in 2022, Unitec’s all Creative Industries Post Graduate courses will be delivered with an online learning option for those needing or wanting to study remotely.
Postgraduate Certificate in Creative Practice
You’ll undertake creative project and negotiated studies courses over the semester under the supervision of an expert in the field, pursuing a practice-based programme of learning tailored to individual interests and backgrounds.
Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Practice
In the first semester a combination of taught, negotiated or studio courses allow you to tailor the learning experience to your specialist creative research interests. Your second semester involves conceptualising, proposing and implementing advanced creative research.
This programme supports and challenges you to question ideas, explore new professional practices and develop research and creative practice capabilities at an advanced level in your chosen discipline. Immerse yourself in a dynamic community of diverse creative practices and work on exciting and innovative projects in Unitec’s creative studios and learn from industry-leading arts and design staff.
2022 at Unitec offers three focus areas in Creative Industries at Post Graduate Level.
I. Screenwriting PGCCP/PGDCP/MCP - Develop your craft in writing for screen at post graduate level in a practice-led environment mentored by industry specialists.
II. Decolonizing Creative and Performing Arts PGCCP – Learn about an indigenous and place-based approach to creative practice research through workshops and a creative project.
III. Creative Placemaking PGCCP – Learn about public art and creative placemaking practices and realize a collaborative placemaking project on campus / in Auckland within the semester.
