He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We are seeking an authentic, innovative and organised team member to lead robust and engaging digital marketing activity across email, search, social and web – with a strong focus on email marketing. Situated within the wider Marketing whanau and reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this exciting opportunity will see you work closely with our Campaigns and Ticketing teams, to develop and deliver digital marketing initiatives that engages with our audience and drives revenue. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of our email marketing mahi, and lead comprehensive strategies all the way from planning, ideation, coordination, and execution. You will have the ability to build strong career building relationships that adds value by providing insights and recommendations that help us on our journey to meet our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead email marketing activities across Auckland Live campaigns and communications.
  • Maintain the database and generate insights for the business using a variety of analytics tools and techniques.
  • Lead digital signage activities across Auckland Live’s screens and venues
  • Develop and deliver digital marketing campaigns to grow our database
  • Plan, implement and manage paid social, search and display campaigns including on-going analysis and optimisation.
  • Develop effective, collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

With your flair for digital marketing, coupled with your organisational skills, ability to juggle multiple priorities and strong attention to detail, you will thrive in this role. You will be initiative focused and will want to use your exceptional digital expertise, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to make a real difference.

Ideally the person we are looking for will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in digital, marketing, communications, or something similar.
  • Three+ years’ experience in a digital marketing role or something similar.
  • Experience developing and delivering email marketing campaigns (EDMs) and using email marketing systems (e.g. Archtics, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor etc)
  • Experience using a customer database to extract valuable information (e.g. demographics)
  • Able to work autonomously and thrive under pressure to meet and exceed expectations.
