Call for Entries - Light up Whakatāne

Light Up Whakatāne inaugural festival event is a collaborative effort by a multitude of community groups coming together to celebrate the Arts, Music, Dance, and various activities that highlight and showcase light.  The festival will be over the weekend from 19 - 21 August and centred around three Art activations by Comet Art Group, which will be installed in various locations of the Whakatane central business district.

In addition to these three key lighting pieces, we are calling for local artists to exhibit their own installations. Your imagination is your greatest tool, and we want to see what creative ideas you could bring to this festival.
